A shrub native to Mexico, Central and South America it grows to 1.5m in height with a 1m span. It produces a mass of small yellow flowers, is frost tender and prefers warmer climates.

The leaves have traditionally been used as a tea and an incense by native Central and South Americans for its relaxing effects and for stimulating the libido.

Requires special care and does not respond well to excessive moisture or cold. This plant does not ship well, although all care is taken when packaging for shipment customers are to take full responsibility for the plants condition upon arrival.

Common name: Mexican Damiana; Mexican Holly; Mizibcoc; Old Woman's Broom; Hierba Del Venado; Oreganello.

Syn: Turnera aphrodisiaca
