A hybrid cross pollination of JUULS GIANT and a macrogonus. An American seed cross from Misplant and grown here at the SAB Nursery. Our JUULS GIANT x macrogonus are a mixture of seed grown plants and pups from these hybrids. They are strong, disease resistant plants that are ideal for grafting use.

The Tom Juul’s Giant or simply Juul’s Giant is an American cultivar of T.pach that is known for fat stems and almost non-existent spines. The Californian butcher Tom Juul sourced this beautiful clone from Peru and had a huge plant of it in his garden. He donated cuttings which found their way into the Sacred Succulents and Sticky Business nurseries.

Macrogonus has long been thought to be synonymous with T.peruvianus due to their similarities. Taxonomy surrounding this species is problematic and disagreed upon by many.

A hybrid is formed when crossing two genetically different species with each other. Most hybrids are manmade however some are natural.

With cross pollination the mother plant is the first name, and the father plant is the second. The mother is the plant whose flower was pollinated, and the fruit ripens on, and the father is the pollen donor. When the crossing plants, in most cases, the resulting offspring comes closer to the mother than to the father. However, there are a lot of exceptions to this and sometimes, the genes of the father are simply more dominant.

Please note pricing is determined by the girth, length and condition of the plant / cutting
