Price: AU$5.25 In Stock: 8 Available

A small shrub growing up to 2m in height with pretty indigo flowers. It is frost and drought hardy. Traditionally the crushed leaves were placed in waterholes to kill or stun fish and eels.

In recent times, the leaves and stems have been used as a natural dye, producing a yellow-fawn pigment when used with alum as mordant.

Heat treatment or scarification of seed is needed for germination.

Common name: Hill Indigo; Austral Indigo.
