Euphorbia spp.

Euphorbia is the fourth largest genus of flowering plants, with over 2000 species they range from tiny annual plants to large and long-lived trees all containing a caustic, poisonous milky latex. Commonly called spurge, Euphorbia’s are from the deserts of Southern Africa and Madagascar, evolving physical characteristics and forms similar to cacti of North and South America which often causes them to be incorrectly referred to as cacti.
